You can use this PC for Coding and everything an Office PC can Do.
Moreover, you can use this PC for a bit of light gaming too but don't use a laptop with our mentioned specs for it because it will heat up a lot.

What Specs will You Require And Why

You Need a quad core hyperthreaded processor because it will allow you to do multiple things at a time which is essential for Coding.
You need atleast 8GB RAM to open mutiple tabs without affecting comfort. We recommmend 16GB RAM as it will help you in opening many tabs at the same time so that you can review your work.
We reecommended a laptop because you may need to travel too.
But, a desktop is a good idea too.

Things To Keep In Mind

You should keep in mind that this device is not meant for gaming if its a laptop.
But, if you pick a desktop, you can upgrade it with a graphics card after a few years and turn it to a proper Gaming PC.
